Split High Places / Soft Circle

Não conhecia High Places até ao ano passado quando deram um saltinho a Portugal. Na altura não tive hipótese de os ver ao vivo, mas só pelos álbuns, 0307_0907 (Thrill Jockey, 2008) e High Places (Thrill Jockey, 2008) foi amor à primeira vista.

A descoberta maravilha do dia foi o lançamento do Split High Places/Soft Circle.

O mesmo teve uma tiragem de 1000 exemplares e está disponível, apenas em vinyl, na Post Present Medium para compra.

No site lê-se o seguinte:

"Two buddy bands meet on vinyl. Soft Circle (Hisham Bharoocha, ex Black Dice) plays two songs that are danceable rhythm based experiments, played with hooks and his unique drumming style.

High Places play a 12 minute slow burner that breaks your face. Look at it as three friends making a lovely vinyl for you to hold and look at and listen to. Play it at the club and freak out your friends, or in your room and freak out your parents."
